Road Safety Week 2021 is coming, “It is the UK’s biggest road safety event. Every year, thousands of schools, organisations and communities get involved to shout out for our right to make safe and healthy journeys every day.”(Brake)
Brake, the road safety charity, and several other well-known companies have worked together to create a huge road safety campaign running 15 – 21 November.
The theme for this year is Road Safety Heroes, to celebrate the work done by those people who try to keep our roads safe. Everyone is encouraged to fill in a form for their road safety hero, trying to get them into the Hall of Fame. I have already seen that there are some school crossing people in the Hall of Fame!
There are lesson plans, an assembly, and a road safety hero postcard that can be freely downloaded to enable your school to take part in the event.
