Barclays LifeSkills are resources aimed at teaching children from the age of 7 about finances. They provide a whole set of freely downloadable lessons.
“Our free lesson plans are our most popular educator resource, with thousands of downloads every month. Each lesson consists of a simple plan with supporting presentation slides that can be adapted to suit most learning environments.
Use the Category and Age range buttons to find content to meet your teaching needs, additionally you can also use the below filters to meet more specific requirements:
- Quick activity: short classroom activities (15 minutes or less), for group and independent learning including films and interactive worksheets. These are located on their corresponding full length lesson plan pages.
- Remote learning: teaching resources designed for remote learning, including films and interactive worksheets. These are located on their corresponding full length lesson plan pages.
- Care leavers: lesson plans specially designed to meet the needs of care leavers.
- SEND adapted: lesson plans adapted for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.” (Barclays LifeSkills)
Barclays LifeSkills are lessons that have been sadly missing from the curriculum, up until now. They are desperately needed to prepare children from an early age to copy with money, savings, etc before they head off to university and start living alone.
