‘How are they feeling?’ is the title of a recent email received from Plazoom:
“Next week (Feb 1st – 7th) is Children’s Mental Health Week, and the theme this year is ‘Express Yourself’. With this in mind, we’ve produced a brand NEW pair of home learning packs – one for KS1 and another for KS2 – focused on the topic of ‘feelings and emotions’. Each offers children a chance to explore, understand and articulate how they feel, even when those feelings might be complicated, confusing or scary; with opportunities to practise reading and writing skills, as well as learn new strategies for staying happy and healthy, whatever is happening around us.
The packs are available to buy at £4.99 each – or you can download both, plus any other resource of your choice, absolutely FREE with our 14-day trial offer!” (Plazoom)
It is very hard for children at the moment, it’s very hard for all of us! There are several companies providing wellbeing resources. Here are some more:
Young Minds offers lots of help for schools and parents, I love the ‘how many positives’ sheet – I am, I can, I have – this is one things that children could easily do at home. There is also access to free resources on the same theme being delivered straight to your inbox. There are also wellbeing tips for staff and parents. All may be well worth sharing.
These companies offer just a few resources to help the whole community consider wellbeing during this difficult time.
