“Be biffsquiggled no longer! Download our scrumdiddlyumptious resources and celebrate the phizz-whizzing world of Roald Dahl on Friday 13 September.” (Teach It Primary)
There are some very imaginative sets of lesson plans and resources to go with all of his books such as the ones for Boy: investigating autobiography, what one is and writing in the style of, etc. These have templates and extracts to cover specific sections that are completely ready to download and use.
There are sequencing tasks, comparing tasks, writing frames, designing activities, character profiling, discussion questions, recall activities, recipe writing, ranking tasks, brochure writing, role play activities and interview activities. In fact, there are so many different sorts of tasks they should fit into almost any literacy curriculum.
Unless you are a paid up member you can only get the PDFs, not the adaptable Word Documents; but, once again, even if they are not exactly what you want there are so many great ideas there it would be a pity to neglect it.
The Roald Dahl website is celebrating the Roald Dahl Day with lots of activities :
“On 13 September 2019, we will be celebrating the worlds, characters and stories of the world’s no. 1 storyteller. Read on to find out how you can join in the jubilations dear friends. And with our very marvellous Matilda at the heart of the celebrations, 2019 could be the most exciting Roald Dahl Day to date!” (Roald Dahl Website)
