“Order the free Be Internet Legends curriculum pack to help your Key Stage 2 pupils become confident online explorers. The curriculum is built around five pillars — Sharp, Alert, Secure, Kind and Brave — and is designed to equip children with the key skills needed to stay safe online including critical thinking and empathy. It’s supported by the Interland game.” (ParentZone)
“To make the most of the internet, children need to make smart decisions. Be Internet Legends empowers younger children to use the web safely and wisely, so they can be confident explorers of the online world. Google and the educators and online safety experts at Parent Zone teamed up to create the Be Internet Legends programme to help give teachers and parents the tools they need to teach children to use the internet safely.” (ParentZone)
The program is built on sections that are called pillars; each one has lesson plans, worksheets and differentiated activities. It is a full scheme of work but it is not necessary to work straight through the whole set of resources. You can dip in and use them as various things need addressing in class, they stand alone!
