Our excellent new featured theme for February 2019 is ‘The Great Fire of London’!
London’s burning, London’s burning… On 2 September 1666, after a long hot and very dry summer, the city of London suddenly caught alight, resulting in a blaze that raged like London had never seen before, or since. This wasThe Great Fire of London!
In this theme, we explore:
- How did the fire start?
- How long did it burn?
- How much of the city was destroyed?
- How was it stopped?
- How did the fire change London?
- How were people affected by the fire?
- How do we know what happened?
We have 35 excellent themed resources that will provide answers to the above questions and much more besides. The resources comprise of a mixture of: information, facts, research, hands-on activities, illustrations, art, displays, songs, games, audio clips and video clips, as well as some detailed planning – each of which will successfully underpin this fascinating and enlightening topic.
The featured theme is updated monthly during the school year. Watch out for our fantastic ‘Healthy Humans’ resources coming your way in March 2019!
