No Pens Day 2023 is coming soon. This event invites your school to join in the fun on Wednesday, 29th November, or any day during that week that works best for you.
“No Pens Day is a chance for children to have fun raising valuable funds for Speech and Language UK while learning about children who struggle with talking and understanding words. Children in participating schools can get involved in a day of talking and listening activities – beginning with the biggest ever show and tell. To take part, each child brings in £1, which is donated to Speech and Language UK. As well as raising money, No Pens Day also raises awareness about the 1.9 children who struggle with talking and understanding words, and the work we are doing to support them. No Pens Day 2023 takes place on Wednesday 29th November 2023. To make it as easy as possible for you and your class to have the best time ever, we’ll provide all the resources you need to plan your day – including tons of activity ideas, take home leaflets, certificates, lesson plans and more!”
No Pens Day 2023 is dedicated to celebrating the importance of communication skills. One of the key objectives is to raise funds to support the 1.9 million children in the UK who struggle with talking and understanding words. To take part sign up on the website.
You can host this event right in your classroom, and Speech and Language UK has got you covered with resources like activity ideas, take-home leaflets, certificates, and lesson plans. The idea is that the day focuses on talking, listening, learning, and, of course, lots of laughter.
There is an educator hub on the website, that offers school support. Also, there is a resource library with lots of supporting material and resources that could help children with speech problems and their families.
