The Box of DelightsThe Box of Delights is the Royal Shakespeare Christmas presentation performed at Stratford on Avon from the end of October until January 7th. Orphaned schoolboy Kay Harker is caught up in a battle between two powerful magicians. Can he save Christmas? Here is the Booking Link if any schools want to arrange a Christmas School Trip:

“After a seemingly chance encounter on a train, orphaned schoolboy Kay Harker finds himself the guardian of a small wooden box with powers beyond his wildest dreams. Caught up in a battle between two powerful magicians, Kay fights to save not just the people he loves but also the future of Christmas itself.”

There are many other resources on the RSC site: Schools’ Broadcasts, teachers can sign up for those appropriate for the children. There are educational resources such as the Teacher Packs, new this year. The Learning Zone has lots of information, insights, video clips, and more, of the many plays. They are being added to at the rate of two each term.

For Christmas in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre the gloriously festive The Box of Delights will play from 31 October 2023 to 7 January 2024. Make it a special festive trip with our Primary Open Day on Thursday 14 December, a full day exploring The Box of Delights with on stage sessions, workshops and a matinee performance. £12.50 per student (plus the cost of a matinee ticket).”
