Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History MonthGypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month (GRTHM) has been celebrated every June since 2008. Through celebration, education and raising awareness, Traveller History Month helps to tackle prejudice, challenge myths and to amplify the voices of these people in wider society.

“This year our theme for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month is ‘What Makes a Home?

There is a participation pack for schools which provides a fascinating, and actually a quite horrifying history of Gypsies, Romas and Travellers; thankfully, so far back in history children that are unlikely to appreciate the full story! Snippets of the life stories shared in this document will help children to understand the Travelling community. The document finishes with seven ideas for joining in with the GRTHM for your school.
