A Tale Unfolds, from the company Literacy Lift Off, is an interesting new concept in literacy planning.
The site is for teachers, not children. The company provides literacy planning through the media of film and, although it is not free, it looks very exciting and could be a huge time saver for all KS2 class teachers.
For information about how this Scheme of Work can be used in the classroom, visit the How it Works page. You will find lots of detail allowing teachers to get a really good picture of what is involved, what it covers and how it is provisioned.

What is a Tale Unfolds?
The key idea is to make a film which has been written, performed and filmed by the pupils in your class. It has been created to meet the different genres of writing found in the KS2 National Curriculum requirements. There is guidance for teachers in the use of simple filming and editing techniques to empower them to carry out the lessons.
To find out: what teachers think of it, read the testimonials, view some examples and generally find out far more about it, visit the site – A Tale Unfolds.
Even if you are not buying their teaching resources, the company offer a free booklet, ‘A Guide to Planning for Exciting Literacy Lessons’. To download the booklet, just visit the site and sign up , or download it at the link below:
