Lifebuoy’s Soaper Heroes is a new hygiene initiative being coordinated by the National Schools Partnership, with resources being provided by Unilever Lifebuoy and the Royal Society for Public Health. They are providing free educational resources for use in primary school and the home with the aim of encouraging pupils to employ good handwashing techniques in the light of the current pandemic. For schools that register early there is a chance to get some free hand sanitiser and soaps (the first hundred schools only).
“Through these fun, curriculum-linked resources you will be able to teach your pupils hygiene-inspired lessons on the basics of handwashing, micro-organisms and our responsibilities to others. The kits will include:
- Posters and stickers for ALL registered schools*
- Fun educational videos featuring animated characters
- A catchy handwashing song
- Interactive quizzes
- Activity sheets and lesson plans with curricula links for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland” (National Schools Partnership)
Register your school for the Lifebuoy’s Soaper Heroes initiative to get lots of free and useful resources for your school.
There will be videos available – in fact, they are probably already available, along with the games, lesson plans, poster etc. – for members and schools that have already signed up.
“There is also a fantastic opportunity to be one of ten ambassador schools. Ambassador schools will share their ‘Soaper Heroes’ journey with us and in return receive an amazing additional box of product samples, stickers, posters and the opportunity to participate in exciting events that arise in connection with the campaign. Confirm your interest in being chosen as an Ambassador school by ticking the box on the sign up form.” (National Schools Partnership)
