Giant Wiggle in your classroom, conga around your front room, march around your nursery – whatever you do, you’re invited to get involved with the fun, and education fundraising campaign all inspired by every child’s favourite book – the Very Hungry CaterpillarTM.

By having fun and learning, you and your little caterpillars will be helping Action for Children to support disadvantaged children across the UK, giving them a better future. Pop this fun and education activity into your diaries now!” (Action for Children)

Around the UK there are about 1.5 million children who need help in many ways to enable them to have a normal life and get their childhoods back. Action for Children works for any child in need – whether they are hungry, disabled, in care or anything in between. Their support is desperately needed but obviously it is largely dependent on fund raising to be successful.

If your school does support any charity events during the year, this may be one to consider. It looks like lots of fun and is based on the Very Hungry Caterpillar story –  see the website for ideas.
