Are you covering angles during the autumn term? If so you may be interested in having a look at the Super Maths Golf Game.
Children estimate the angle and the units of distance to get the ball into the hole. They are penalised if they go out of range and the ball is re-entered the game at the point they went out of bounds. It will not be long before they realise that fractions and decimals are necessary to do really well at the game.
Trees, sand and water all offer hazards to overcome just like in a real golf course! It is a competitive challenge which many pupils will enjoy.
