School Web Filtering Netsweeper Upgrade – Essential Work

We have been advisded by OCN ICT Services that the Netsweeper Servers will be upgraded to the most recent version on Monday 21 November 2011. This is an essential upgrade required to improve the functionality of the service for all schools and part of the upgrade repairs the use of the Active Directory functionality at a local level which is an important element to some of the larger schools using it.

During Monday 21 November schools will still be protected by the Netsweeper Solution Filters and will notice no downtime or disruption to the access of the intranet or internet. However schools will not be able to modify local policies for filtering during the day and no requests for modification will be taken by the ICT Service Desk for that day.
