QR Voice is a very simple website which allows users to speak up to 100 characters and generate a QR code from that message. For classrooms with one or more mobile devices capable of reading QR codes (most of the reader apps are completely free) this is a novel way for children to present their work, add a note to a reading book or add a description to their art and technology work.
QR (Quick Response) codes are little crossword type images which can be in any colour combination. They can send voice messages, text messages and websites quickly and easily which can then be read by a QR code reader – a simple and usually free app for mobile devices. Much use is made of them in advertising, but they could have a multitude of educational applications too. Why not introduce them into your classroom and see how children use them?
