Poppy Day or Remembrance Sunday

poppyRemembrance Sunday, or Poppy Day as we often call it,  falls on the second Sunday in November. This is a useful collection of links which can be used in class to talk about it:

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

The Royal British Legion Learning Pack – 2014/15 – The Legion’s FREE Learning Pack is produced for use with the accompanying CD ROM and DVD disk set, as a learning resource for a range of subjects including History, English and Citizenship, for Key Stages 1-4 and older students.
