Oddizzi is a subscription website that provides a large number of geographical resources for primary school teachers. There is a range of information which is simply presented and includes videos, photographs and maps to help teachers deliver the KS1 and KS2 geography curriculum with the minimum amount of planning.
There is absolutely no doubt that the resources are lovely and there is a seven day trial free.
From the website you’ll encounter the two main child-friendly characters who explain the site as follows:
Hi we’re Odd and Izzi
We help teachers deliver outstanding lessons so that children learn about the world.
We save you hours looking for classroom friendly resources for geography, social studies and topics with a global dimension.
Our content can be adapted for use in topic work, units of enquiry or a creative curriculum.
We provide an easy link with classrooms across the globe …and are completely e-safe.
Oddizzi is featured in the TES 16th March (Page 10):
Globetrotting with Odd and Izzi “Oddizzi is an award-winning website which allows pupils to learn about – and make connections with – other countries.”
If you can get your hands on a copy it is a great article about the background of Oddizzi and how it is being used in the classroom. The pictures below show you a little of what is available and I recommend that you sign up for a week’s free trial:
