OCN have informed Oxfordshire schools that your email upgrade contact information is required by 1st March (see below). Please speak to your 123ICT consultant if your are unsure on how to complete the form and we will be happy to assist.
OCN email – 20 February 2013:
“Plans to upgrade your schools Microsoft Live @Edu email system to Microsoft Office 365 are now well under way. As well as the upgrade to Microsoft Office 365 your school will take ownership of the school email accounts, enabling your school to manage and administer the email system.
Your administrator will be able to add and delete accounts giving you complete control of your school email users.
Microsoft are working with RM Education to run the upgrade of your email accounts and then the final stage of the email project will leave all schools with their own individual Microsoft Office 365 system.
Microsoft Office 365 provides several additional features which we hope schools will find useful.
- Cloud-based email, calendar and contacts
- Instant messaging, voice and video chat
- Online conferencing with desktop sharing
- Web-based viewing and editing of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files
For more information about the features available to you please visit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-
The service is supplied as an educational package and is offered Free for academic institutions by Microsoft. There will be no email service offered in the QuEST ICT Services package for 2013/14.
In order to ensure a smooth transition we need to have the correct contact information for the person who will be taking responsibility of your ICT systems (including Email). For secondary schools we will assume this is your Network Manager that we currently hold details for unless you tell us otherwise.
Please can you return the form below to schoolsemailupgrade@
If you use a different email system to the one we provide, please still let us know who your ICT admin contact will be.
