Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) are currently compiling a catalogue for schools to help them in the transition from the OCN to commercial broadband provision. As previously mentioned, 123ICT are pleased to announce that we are included in the list of local ICT support companies who are approved to project manage your broadband transition from the OCN to an alternative suppler.
Based on our experiences so far in helping over thirty Oxfordshire schools with their broadband transition, we feel it is in your interests to make plans as soon as possible. However, there is no rush and schools are well advised to wait for the OCC broadband catalogue before deciding upon the best way to proceed. As well as OCC, we have recently met with all of the approved broadband suppliers: RM, Schools Broadband and EXA Networks.
Unlike other local support companies, our business model is based on acting impartially and we are working with all of the above suppliers. It is possible for you to go directly to these suppliers but there are the following 123 advantages of 123ICT obtaining quotes on your behalf:
- Technical expertise and experience
123ICT have arranged more broadband transitions than any other local support company
and have led the way in helping schools obtain faster broadband for less money in the last
123ICT does not just work with one broadband supplier but looks to act with integrity to find
the best broadband solution for your school.
- Saving you time and money
123ICT are happy to undertake the project management, installation and support free of charge
for all Oxfordshire primary schools. We also offer 123ICT schools a discount of 10% off the
listed prices of their new broadband connection.
123ICT will again be exhibiting at the annual conference of the ICT Schools Support Team, Oxfordshire County Council at the Kassam Stadium on Thursday 15 November 2012 and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your broadband plans with you during the day.
In the meantime, if you would like a quote or some case studies from schools that have already made the switch then feel free to get in touch. You’ll also find further information in our latest newsletter.
