Computing ITT and CPD Resources is a newly created wiki web site which may be of interest to many schools:
“This site has been put together by a small group of teachers and teacher educators convened by the DfE’s Teaching Agency and chaired by Bob Harrison. Our aim has been to curate a collection of resources for use by those training teachers to deliver the new primary computing curriculum, whether for trainees’ individual use, for use in lectures and workshops or for trainees to use as resources for their own lessons when working in school.”
It has been developed for teacher training and CPD; therefore, many teachers in schools may find useful information and resources on the site, especially if they want to run professional development sessions in school. There are guidance notes, articles, self-study guides along with planning resources for each aspect, each strand and each age range – enabling the planning and updating of an ICT course very easily. Teachers may also find this video link to ‘Programming and Trainee Teachers’ by Miles Berry, one of the sites authors, interesting.
