The National Space Education Centre is based in Leicester and schools can arrange visits to the centre. Alternatively, staff from the centre will travel 75 miles to do presentations in schools with a portable star dome (theywill also do Virtual presentations if a school is more than 75 miles away). As the centre of Leicester to the centre of Oxford is 77 miles, many of our schools may just be within reach.
There is lots of useful Space information, downloadable posters and some “Gallery Trails” for both KS1 and KS2 at the National Space Centre Education site.
EXAMPLE: “Our Key Stage 2 Gallery Trails encourage fun and exploration … “
For anyone studying space it is well worth looking at what the Gallery Trails have to offer.
