Nanoogo is an new on-line platform where teachers can create logins for their classes.
Pupils can then log in to write stories, create interesting artwork, and share their knowledge. It is a web 2.0 resource where pupils can make poster type of presentations and has great educational potential.
Nanoogo is easy to use, free and safe. Pupils are logged in as part of a class – not personally – and given a very simple menu to work from:
Once in pupils can create posters on a chosen topic.
If pupils log in at home there is a weekly challenge which they can take part in. This has a leader board and points, so pupils can challenge themselves against other children from other schools.
See a challenge entry:
It could be used for any subject:
There is also a private teacher account where teachers can manage all of their classes and pupils and moderate their pupils’ posts.
For any class with internet connection and a few laptops this seems to be a great freebie!
