MIS Update: RM Integris further training available

Posted by:

Just in case you missed the email that was circulated to Oxfordshire schools earlier this week, RM Education are running two further workshops on Friday 22nd February at 9:30 am and then repeated at 2:00 pm.

They will take place at the RM Real centre in Milton Park near Abingdon. RM staff will be on hand to discuss the options available and to help you understand what RM Integris can deliver (see below for full details). For those schools unable to attend or those who would like more information about RM Integris, RM are hosting a webinar on Thursday 21st February from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm (again see below for details). Our advice to schools is to find out as much as possible about Integris and a general feeling is growing amongst 123ICT schools that the savings involved make the MIS switch worthwhile.

123ICT received the final RM Integris pricing and order form yesterday. For those school changing to RM Integris, the form can be completed and returned to RM with training then arranged on a first come / first serve basis. Headteachers have asked whether it would be possible for schools within partnerships to be trained together and we will raise this with OCC / RM on your behalf.

RM have also offered to train 123ICT consultants and we are in the process of arranging this. We are looking forward to this and it is a sign of our commitment to support you with the transition if that is your choice. We will also continue to look into the most viable and cost effective options open to you if your preference is to remain with Capita SIMS.

As you will have seen, Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has selected RM Integris as the best Management Information System (MIS) for Oxfordshire’s schools, replacing the council delivered Capita SIMS service from April 1st 2013.

What does this mean for you?

We’re really excited about this decision, as it will enable you to move your MIS to the easy to use, cost effective RM Integris solution. Moving to RM Integris means that you don’t need to buy a dedicated MIS server for your school, as you would if you use a school-based MIS system such as Capita SIMS. This can save schools up to £2000 per year in local server, hardware, infrastructure, maintenance and management costs. Furthermore, moving to Integris will mean that you do not need to buy a new licence for your MIS system, if or when you convert to academy status.

What do you do next?

As you know from OCC’s letter of the 22nd January, schools need to have in place a new MIS contract before 31st March. To help you plan your transition to a new MIS, we suggest the following steps:

Step 1: Find out more about RM Integris
Did you know that RM Integris is the number 1 Cloud based MIS in the UK? It is a simple to use and flexible system, which over 2300 schools trust to deliver their MIS requirements today. Full web delivery means secure, anytime, anywhere, any device access to the whole of RM Integris covering all your MIS requirements including:

  • Assessment
  • Behaviour
  • Attendance
  • Reporting
  • Statutory Returns

Step 2: Book time to see RM Integris in action
Due to the success of our previous workshops RM Education and OCC are running two further workshops on Friday 22nd February. One at 9:30 am and then repeated at 2:00 pm. They will take place at the RM Real centre in Abingdon. Please note there are limited spaces and we expect high demand so attendance will be on a first come first served basis.

The presentation and demonstration element of the workshop will last approximately 2 hours and will cover:

  • Brief introduction to RM Integris
  • How to use RM Integris for common MIS activities including:

·         Student and staff views

·         Attendance, behaviour and assessment

·         Enhanced reporting

  • Optional modules
  • Migrating to Integris
  • What happens next?

Step 3: Begin planning your transition
We know changing a well-established MIS system may seem daunting, but don’t worry; we’ll make it easy and straightforward for you. We’ve done it successfully many times, but don’t just take our word for it, see how easy it was for Westoe Crown Primary School to migrate and enjoy the full benefits of RM Integris.

Although RM Integris is really simple to use, we know that your staff will need help and support to use it most effectively from day one. We’ll provide all the training you need, and your trusted OCC Schools’ ICT Support team will provide support for RM Integris, using their extensive experience and local knowledge to make your life as easy as possible.

We look forward to meeting you soon, and we’ll be in touch to answer any questions you may have and help you with your transition.
