The team at Hopscotch – a really good drag and drop programming app for the iPad – have sent an Hour of Code message to all Hopscotch users who may be getting ready to take part in the Hour of Code event coming up in two weeks:
“Hi Hopscotch educators,
I hope you’re getting excited for the best holiday of the year: Hour of Code!
We’ve specially developed two really fun, easy-to-follow tutorials for students of all levels to enjoy during the 2014 Hour of Code, December 8th-12th.
In just an hour, your students will build a hilarious 2-player dodgeball game or an addictive single-player paddleball game. They’ll learn programming fundamentals while creating something they want to play over and over.
With ready-made tutorials and huge support (hello, President Obama!), this is the perfect opportunity to encourage your colleagues and friends to introduce programming in their classrooms and homes. Please share this (we’ve included additional info below!) with parents, friends, and other teachers.
Two lucky classes that complete both tutorials will win a “Meet the Developer” Google Hangout with Hopscotch’s engineering team! Make sure your students are in the running—plan your Hour(s) of Code for December 8th-12th today!!
Feel free to reach out with any questions, and thanks so much for your continued support.” (Hopscotch)
