Harper Collins Children’s Books are running a creative writing competition right now!Creative Writing Competition

“For a chance to win, all your class needs to do is work together to create one story, in 250 words or less, and enter their creative writing into the form below!

We’ve got loads of lesson plans to help you and your class learn all about Dr. Seuss and his wonderful characters. There’s also a lesson plan dedicated to helping your class create their own Seussian style story!

– Shared Reading– Spelling– Sequencing– Debate– Drama And more…

The competition is open from the 20th February and closes on the 31st March 2017, so what are you waiting for? Get those creative juices flowing and embrace your inner Dr. Seuss!

The competition is to celebrate 150 year of The Cat in the Hat. There are lesson plans to download, not only for The Cat in the Hat, but for Fox in Socks, Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Horton Hears a Who, Oh the Places You’ll Go and The Lorax! So, even if you don’t want to take part in the competition, the lesson plans may be useful.
