Creative Writing Competition 2016Jacqueline Wilson has launched her Creative Writing Competition 2016. The competition is for 7 – 12 year old children, and entries must be between 750 and 1000 words long.

The winning story will be published in a new book being written by Jacqueline Wilson, the winner gets to meet her and receives £100 in prize money. There is also a school prize of books.

The closing date is noon on Friday 6th May and the story can be about absolutely anything! The story can be entered on the website so there is no postage or photocopying to worry about.

The competition is part of a launch of the new Jacqueline Wilson website.  This website is interactive, there are free downloadables for children; there is a town which seems to be built around her characters and also places for children to explore. There is a regular magazine for children, Jacqueline Wilson’s diary, a book of the month page, quizzes, games and more. It is all very colourful, noisy and exciting for children. Registered children can visit Story Land, the Sweet Factory and the Costume Emporium.
