Alternative Broadband: 123ICT & EXA

Posted by:

When the cost of OCN Broadband was published via QuEST last year, 123ICT started to look at alternatives on behalf of the schools that we support. It quickly became apparent that hundreds of schools throughout the UK had moved away from local authority broadband provision. After contacting several education broadband providers we opted for the solution provided by EXA-Networks Ltd. We found them experienced in working with primary schools across the country and liked the fact that web-filtering (Surfprotect) was included in the cost.

In April 2011, with our help, William Fletcher Primary School in Yarnton became the first county primary school in Oxfordshire to opt not renew their OCN broadband contract when they switched to EXA-Networks. The reason behind their decision was simple: faster broadband for less money.

123ICT are EXA’s preferred broadband reseller in Oxfordshire and we also work closely with RM for schools requiring multiple quotes. We are the only support company with actual experience of switching a primary school over from OCN to EXA broadband. Please contact us if you would like a copy of our Alternative Broadband Guide for Oxfordshire Primary Schools or would like a compartive quote for your school.
